When to call us straight away
- A tree or major limb has come down and is blocking access, a road, or part of the house.
- There's a tree or large branch hung up in another tree — actively dangerous.
- A tree is leaning, the root plate is lifting, or you can see cracks at the base after high wind.
- A split limb is hanging over a building, conservatory, car or path.
- Storm-damaged trees overhanging a public footway or road.
What happens when you call
We answer the phone — including out of hours for emergencies in our regular areas. We'll ask for a photo if you can safely take one, give you a rough ETA, and tell you what to do (or not do) in the meantime until we arrive.
Insurance claims
If the damage is going through your buildings insurance or a third-party claim, we can invoice the insurer directly and supply photographs, written reports and copies of our insurance certificates. We've worked with most of the major insurers and loss adjusters before.
What we charge
Emergency call-outs are priced fairly — there's no shock pricing because you're stressed. Most jobs are a fixed call-out fee plus time on site; for insurance work we provide an itemised invoice that pays out clean.

What do I do right now?
Stay well clear of the tree — broken limbs can fall hours after the storm passes. If anything is touching a power line, call UK Power Networks first (105). Otherwise, call us.
Will my insurance pay for it?
Usually yes for storm damage. We'll invoice the insurer directly if you'd like.
Can you tarp my roof if a limb's gone through it?
We'll make the tree safe — for the roof repair you'll want a roofer. We can recommend one we trust.
Do you charge to come out and look?
For a non-urgent quote, no. For a genuine emergency call-out where we make the tree safe, there's a call-out fee — we'll be upfront about it on the phone.
